Subaru Won't Start Dash Lights Flashing
I have a 98 subaru and the security system has activated so that the lights are all blinking and the car won't start. If the pressure changes then all the dash lights will start flashing.
Ten minutes later, she went to start the car and all the dash lights came on like normal while pressing the brake pedal.

It started doing it once in awhile where i would turn the key, dash lights flicker rapidly and a fast clicking noise in the dash. I'm not sure what would have drained the battery in the first place, but if everything is working now that it's fully charged, it's conceivable that the the problem won't return. Now all the instrument lights are flashing really fast.
In this case, you may hear the starter turning slowly, or you may not hear any sound at all. Subaru's issues is having a faulty design that drains the battery with rear hatch open or unlatched. I have a 2019 crosstrek.

When the key is turned on and even when key is removed, the low fuel light is constantly on and so are a bunch of warning lights on the top right, not in the same way that the lights come on during normal ignition start procedure. I'll try to reset it with the switch or with the key in the keyhole. Sounds like it is trying to kick over but won't.

I would turn the key off then it would fire right up on my next try. Dealer replaced a seal where the cap connects to the metal and said the seals will break and prevent proper pressure. A local pa subaru dealer performed the bodywork repairs.
We jist replaced the alternator and now the security system is locked up or something the dash lights blink the park lights outside the car blink and have to turn the igniti. Still get the blinking dash lights and won't start. The engine warning light is.

I am getting over 12 volts on the battery. You could have left a light on overnight, or the. After putting everything back together and double checking the timing, it will start at first and then go out after 5 seconds and then not start again until waiting 5 or more hours.
I doubt the car had the subaru factory alarm because i dont see the little red flashing light down below the steering wheel. It would be interesting to see what code is stored. Dealer says it's a dead battery.

It's either flashing or the needles are illuminated on the gauges. This will often take care of the flashing lights and clicking. If that's the case, the problem is most likely related to a drained battery.
After we got the car back we realized there was a windshield seal problem. After driving the car home on thursday night we realized all the lights were flashing. If the car now starts and runs well, it may very well just require a little more driving.
So much for subaru being the vehicle for outdoors types who might actually do something crazy like sleep in the back with the hatch open. When it's playing up, the symptoms are; It's too bad subaru still hasn't fixed this a year later.
Repeated until it hit 0. The local subaru dealer ordered and installed the second windshield.
